Hello lovely, I hope you’re doing well.

It’s another month so its time to show what I’ve been up to for our monthly show and tell!

Oh! Oh I worked on a thing! I did a thing!

This is the most recent thing so I guess well go backwards lol.

I got really sick of my phone wallpaper and so I figured out how to make a cute one I really liked! I made a whole idea in my head Ill hafta do a soft spoken art thing about. It’s been so fun!

There’s a little snail on their lil adventure through magical forests and jungles and it’s so cute! There’s ghost lilies trailing inside a cave outcropping over a mystical waterfall glowing with magics that react to the skin of the snail, there’s soft wispy leaves and a few sneaking eyes watching the adventure from the safety of the shadows, it’s so cozy and in that liminal space in games like Lara Croft where you are about to change environments but with a little magic dust sprinkled atop. Oh I really love it. I might make more.

OH! I also found I couldn’t see the time well (bc the background is a lil busier than my usual stuff) and so I made some black wispy clouds for the clock area so it would be easier to read. Eee >w<

Maybe you guys will think its cute too!

Ahhh now I wanna make so many more or OMG make seasonal ones?!? MAGICAL SEASONAL ONES? I change them every season, omg how cute?

Lol, only problem w/ acquiring skillsets for me lol, as soon as I am able to do another thing, I try to build on it and make it bigger and I get overwhelmed lol! Silly brain runs a mile a minute! I need help, tell me why I was born an only child! I want to rope some siblings into my harebrained ideas lol

OH! Also, I got these brown rice wraps a while ago and I was like oh, healthy, get the brown one! But making brown springrolls… lol my mind went there and… if not penis, why penis shaped? Lol, they were also really hard to work with, being able to keep stuff inside? LOL OK JESSICA xD BUT REALLY, More so than the white rice spring sheets, they didn’t seem to be as stretchy - although I read some put tapioca starch in to get stretch for fake cheeses so I wonder if thats why some spring rolls have tapioca starch put in.

ANYWAY all that to say, I was getting so upset that the brown rice ones would be wonky and rip, and these other ones are SO STRETCHY, AW HELL YES! We even made lil dumplings and stuff! So good!

Oh! I also learned about socca! Its like a VERY FREAKING GOOD chickpea bread/cracker flatbread kind of deal. We ended up following this recipe: https://www.daringgourmet.com/socca-recipe/

It’s SO good, its going in the big recipe book! You fry some onions on the bottom of a cast iron skillet and pour the batter on (its very thin!) and omg its such good stuff, omg, like so good we were gonna take a pic but its gone now so thats that lol. SO GOOD! Thin and crispy, oh maybe add a little garlic too! So simple, easy ingredients, savory asf. >w<

But I made a ton of soup recently and so I’ve been taking a bit of that and mixing it with rice, egg, etc and making spring rolls for different texture despite needing to eat the same stuff lol. So yum >w<

I’m also getting better and not letting it look like… floppy like it is. I think thats the product of not using actual spring roll items but a heavy soup but I’m learning, its a process! I can’t wait to try the pickled cabbage and spinach thing but just gotta use up the soup first. ^-^

OMG SWEETIE IT SNOWED THE HELL AGAIN! LIKE A LOT! Eeee! SO MUCH! Look at it!

We made a little snow igloo/dug out for Kupo and hid some treats in there for him and it was a really good time but by the time we finished, I was really cold so I took the pic from the warmest area, the mud room lmao!

The thing with dressing in dresses, I need layers and I’m slowly building out the bulk so I can. Like the other day, I think there was a warm skirt, a pretty skirt, a decorative midi skirt on top of all that for style accent and just, PHEW A LOT OF SKIRT and I was so warm, it was perfect but it isn’t like that all the time xD I need more practice cuz sometimes I just freeze lol.

I tried buying “fleece lined stockings” from walmart but they weren’t even fleece lined? It was just like two stretchy fabrics stitched together like the ones from temu? So weird, didn’t like. Do not recommend.

I do have like 3 stockings that are actually fleece lined but I lost 2 and also putting on stockings is so upsetting for the toes, let my toes poke out! 3:< Sensory issues ftl lol.

Omg random pivot, I was playing wow and they finally did the big change about addons and man its been hard to log in, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO MY BOY! ;-; I liked it looking a certain way and now its gotta be some other way lol, that sucks. v.v I wasn’t even doing anything cool like raiding or pvp, but now everything is a bit wonkier, blah.

Realistically, I just need to adapt and get into how to vibe with it now but the autism cries when things change lol. So we gotta have our sad moment before diving back in. Any other WoW folks feeling a little shaken by the UI changes? Tell me I’m not alone! T^T

Is there something good about the changes? I notice if I find stuff I like about stuff I don’t, its easier to pivot if I know its a needed change x3 ❤️

Ohh I’ve been getting so into drawing, it’s been so nice. I wanna take pics of all the real art, like the painted stuff but Ive been having so much fun doing speed paints and finally learning different buttons besides the same 3 damn brushes lol, its so EXCITING! IVE BEEN SO INTO ITTTT! I even made a meme I hope to do a soft spoken thingy on, eee!

I think there’s still some struggle about drawing NSFW stuff though. I’ve been trying to work on it, like I set out to do a NSFW piece but I think I got too tangled up in performative sexuality that I started getting frustrated w/ the art and it went SFW. I’m working on a new piece though not pictured and I’m really digging it - but i needed to use a pose thing lol. Ill explain next month when the arts done xD

Normally I get really upset about pivoting like that, especially when I wanna practice NSFW art for my business. Like I want to get better so you can tell its tiddies on the page lmao. But also, I think my kink is always “stumbled upon sexiness.” I hate dressing stuff up to be sexy.

Well this is a bad way to explain it. I could explain it like a bike. Like if I buy a new bike, I don’t want to parade it around and be like LOOK! A BIKE! ITS A NEW BIKE! A BRAND NEW PERFECT BIKE!

That’s always how stuff gets stolen lol.

I’m more like, “Ok, let’s let it look a little plain and maybe cover it in fake tape so no one steals it and then when I offer it for someone to ride it, theyll be so surprised its an ebike, they didn’t even see or know it was new but its the smoothest, fastest ride ever!

And that kind of approach is really not conducive to capitalism, you know? Like you need to broadcast and over promise and go bigger, better every time, capitalism demands you promise more in a finite system.

And I think that’s how it can end up breaking good humans. Good humans making good content takes time and capitalism prides itself on …

Oh! I made egg stir fry too! It was so good!

Mmm, we also made chia seed pudding with strawberries and oh my lawd, so fkn good! SO EASY, WHAT DO YOU MEAN POUR MILK, POUR CHIA SEEDS, STIR TWICE AND SET? I can’t. Its so good lol.

Also made a tortilla soup but w/o wheat, it ended up so good w/ the corn and shredded chicken! Eee~!

Omg, another skillset attempt! I got this old sewing machine. I used to have a plastic higher tech one but girl, Idk how Imma need all those stitches, I just want to hem stuff and make a few cute things and learn how to thread the bobber and not forget for once!

But it was so sweet bc it was actually used by a grandma and the son had kept it in the family for 25 years after her passing and finally they wanted to rehome it and asked if I’d give her a good home and I said of course. It was so cool, I gotta take more pics but life has been so hectic, the paperwork it came with is so old and delicate, it feels so cool.

You know when you live in the north of the US vs the south, theres so many more trees and you get that feeling of being quite small and in awe of the universe around you? I get that w/ trees and really old stuff that has history as well.

The son told me about how his grandma was such a hard worker. She had saved so many little newspaper clippings of how to do x sew technique and better ways to tweak it and omg, its just all so old! It’s so interesting to see how people treated paper and stuff when we didn’t have such a single use/cheap design expectation.

Apparently, stuff like that was built to last and be even interchangeable. Like when I got this sewing machine, I noticed the cabinet it sits in didn’t look like the one I saw on YouTube/the internet and it turns out they’d make the sewing machine and different cabinets so you could swap them out! That’s so cool!

I wish we hadn’t lost that kind of cleverness. I wish fast fashion hadn’t come in the form of so many industries.

But I think thats the capitalism taint… lol… mental images, jesus. Why brain?!

OMG ALSO THE DEER CAME BACK! (I hope I havent posted about this, I don’t think I have.)

I know I said I saw deer but I love to show it so LOOK AT THESE HUGE HONKIN DEER! LOOK AT THEMMMM THEYRE SO BIGGGG HOLY FUCK! And you can see my dog on this side of the fence just curious asf lol! It was so cool! Idk if you can tell too well but theres a male deer on the left in one of the pics, so cool, I was so hyped lmao.

So cool to be so close to nature again.
